Health EDU by Stanford Med
Uniting students to empower each other in health and advocacy and serve local communities through health outreach
Who We Are
Health EDU started at the Stanford School of Medicine with the goal to empower future healthcare providers to advocate for health equity, serve local communities through health outreach, and destigmatize health education.

Our Work
Educating Future Providers

We promote dialogue among preclinical students through monthly workshops, modeling inclusive communication with patients around stigmatized health topics (e.g., destigmatizing emergency contraception, how to use trauma-informed care in clinical settings).

Educational Outreach in the Bay
We do hands-on work creating resources and teaching individuals in shelters. We conduct educational workshops (e.g., cervical and breast cancer prevention, teen dating violence prevention, puberty and menstruation) at four community partner sites.
We provide contraceptives, safer sex kits, menstrual products, and referrals to OB/GYN care through a number of community partners in San Mateo and Santa Clara County.
Expanding Access to Healthcare
